My Background
I’m a teacher at heart, a mom, and a life-long learner. I am passionate about high-quality education. It is my mission to partner with parents, advocate for kids, and support teachers. When adults are giving our best, kids get to enjoy becoming their best.
Parenting
As a mom of three, I know that there is no greater opportunity for learning than parenting. With each child, at every age, in every phase come new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow together.
Education
I have over 20 years experience in education as a classroom teacher, teacher educator, school principal, and non-profit educational advocate. I hold a masters in Educational Leadership from UCLA and a doctorate in Teacher Education from USC. I am passionate about protecting and promoting excellence in K-12 education.
Leadership
Having served as a leader in education on campus and in the community, I bring a balanced perspective. When leaders on the inside and outside of schools leverage their skills and resources, the results for students can be awesome.
Innovation
As parents and educators we are tasked with preparing our kids for a future that is unknown, unimagined, and always changing. I love learning about nurturing curiosity and cultivating creativity.
